Continuous provision
Activities set up for independent access, not adult-controlled handouts.
Toddler Room
Two to three is the age of "me do it" and the first real friendships — and the first real conflicts over toys. Our Toddler Room gives both room to happen safely, with adults trained to guide rather than referee.
Inside the room
Toddlers get genuine agency here — which activity to join, when to move to the next one, whether to eat the carrot sticks first or last. Continuous provision means the room is set up so a two-year-old can choose and access their own activities, building the independence that pre-school will ask for next.
Language is exploding at this age, so adults narrate constantly — naming feelings, describing what's happening, and modelling the words for the frustration a toddler can't yet say out loud.
A day in the Toddler Room
Independent choice of quiet activities as the room fills — no forced group start.
Sand, water, blocks, and role play, rotating through continuous provision stations.
A quiet, dimmed space for those who need to nap, and calm alternatives for those who don't.
Gross motor play — running, climbing, digging — weather allowing, every day.
Why this room
Activities set up for independent access, not adult-controlled handouts.
Adults guide toddlers through sharing and turn-taking rather than just separating them.
The statutory 2-year-old check, done properly and shared with you in plain language.
